CELLIVITY / ADULT ACCESS

Are you 18 or older?

CELLIVITY is available to adults only. Supplement pages are general product information; peptide records are not a sales offer and are not for human use.

Age confirmation is a declaration, not identity verification. Restricted research access still requires separate professional eligibility checks.Privacy and legal notice ↗

Magnesium

Elemental magnesium

Packet question: oral magnesium, bisglycinate, sleep and healthy agingEvidence level C

Level C describes limited, mixed or context-dependent human evidence for this exact question; read the conclusion for direction and limits.

This C grade applies only to the controlling packet question. Outcome grades below are more specific; neither the packet grade nor an outcome grade is an ingredient-wide or finished-product grade.
REVIEWED EVIDENCE PACKETQuestion-specific review complete for this published scope.

The grade is controlled by the stated packet question and outcome map.

IN PLAIN LANGUAGE

Why people are interested

A mineral used in hundreds of reactions involving energy, nerves and muscles. Benefit is most likely when intake or status is inadequate.

Outcome map

One ingredient. Different questions.

Evidence can be stronger for a specific marker or population and weaker for a broader promise. Each row answers a separate question.

  1. 01

    Filling an intake gap

Magnesium is an essential nutrient, and a supplement can add magnesium when dietary intake is inadequate.

    Evidence level A
  2. 02

    Self-reported sleep

One four-week bisglycinate trial found a small change on a self-reported insomnia scale, with limited certainty and no meaningful replication.

    Evidence level C
  3. 03

    Objective sleep

Bisglycinate-specific evidence does not establish better sleep duration, onset, deep sleep, REM or sleep architecture.

    Evidence level D
  4. 04

    Form superiority

Current comparisons do not establish that bisglycinate is clinically more effective or better tolerated than every other magnesium form.

    Evidence level D
  5. 05

    Healthy aging and lifespan

Human trials do not establish prevention of frailty, dementia or fractures, slower biological aging, or longer life.

    Evidence level D

01

How it may work

Functions as a cofactor across energy metabolism, neuromuscular signalling and many enzymatic reactions.

02

What people have studied

Magnesium is essential, but an essential nutrient is not automatically a sleep treatment. A 2025 bisglycinate trial found a small four-week change on a self-reported insomnia scale; objective sleep benefit, form superiority and healthy-aging benefit are not established.

03

What to consider

High supplemental intakes can cause gastrointestinal effects, impaired kidney function increases toxicity risk, and some medicines interact; persistent insomnia or medically complex use needs qualified professional review.

04

Local pathway

Compound, elemental amount and format require finished-product clearance.
